Care of product in use: Avoid impact of the painted surface with items that may scratch or chip the pool coating. If cleaning the pool with a power washer then hold the lance at least 12" from the surface and keep moving the water spray. Do not use steam cleaners. The repeated use of chlorine shock treatments may cause minor colour change around the water line of the pool.

Surface preparation: Refer to the Technical Data Sheet from the downloads tab for this product.

Mixing: Mix thoroughly for approximately 5 minutes using a wide bladed stirrer. A wooden batten at least 25mm wide is ideal.

Directions for use: Best results are obtained in warm (minimum 15°C), dry conditions. Avoid application of coating in very hot direct sunlight as this may lead to blistering. Apply using a brush or short pile roller. On bare concrete: It is recommended that the first coat be diluted with approx. 10-20% Firwood 143 Thinners by volume prior to application. This will act as a binding primer and help seal the concrete surface.

Once dried a second coat can be applied at full strength. On previously painted surfaces: It is recommended that two thin coats be applied rather than one thick coat. This will prolong the life and performance of the coating.

Always leave the pool paint for a minimum of three days after application of the final coat before filling the pool with water. In low temperatures, sub 10ºC, this should be extended to seven days.

Cleaning: Clean application equipment immediately after use with Firwood 143 Thinners

Refurbished our pool earlier this year and it is looking great. Was impressed with the vast range of colours available. Collected the tins whilst in the UK and wish to thank the Firwood staff for their help and courtesy. Will happily use again
Best swimming pool paint we have used so far.

It is the best product we have used so far. We had used others in the past but they only lasted 6 months. It has been a year since we applied this product and had we not been due an inspection we probably wouldn’t have needed to paint it now. Great service and we recieved the paint earlier than expected.
