A cost effective high opacity water borne wood primer / undercoat for interior and exterior use. Quick drying allows overcoating after 2 hours. Suitable for use on both new and previously coated wood. For prepainted wood sand down before application. Can be used both as a primer and undercoat. On unpainted timber two coats may be required.

Drying Time @ 20ºC: Drying times will be extended at low temperatures . Do not apply when ambient temperature falls below 5ºC or relative humidity exceeds 90%.
Surface Dry @ 20ºC : 1 hour
Over Coat @ 20ºC: 2 - 4 hours
Dry Film Thickness: 25 - 50 μ
Wet Film Thickness: 75 - 145 μ

Directions for Use:
Stir well before use.
All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust, grease, etc.
Ensure all rotten wood is removed and treated prior to coating. One or more coats may be required.
If necessary sand down between coats. If applying on previously painted surfaces rub down to provide a key prior to the application of this product.
Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear suitable face mask if dry sanding.
Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation
of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may
contain harmful lead.
Avoid application where the ambient temperature wll fall below 10ºC or rainfall is likely to occur
whilst the paint dries.
Overcoat with Firwood 2640 Water Borne Decorative Gloss Paint for good internal and external durability.
Cleaning: Remove excess paint then clean
application equipment after use with tap water before the paint dries.

Easy to use

I have used this on internal and external woodwork direct to wood. Its quick drying, obliterates well and seems durable so far. Shame its not available in bigger tins hence my 4 stars!
