A blend of acrylic and epoxy resins. This two pack isocyanate free finish is available in an extensive range of lead free shades. Easy to apply using conventional and airless spray systems and is flexible across a wide temperature range. Good resistance to water, chemicals and fuel.
Produced as an alternative to two pack polyurethane systems. An excellent finish for long term durability on agricultural & construction equipment, machinery and commercial vehicle components.

Application Methods: Conventional Spray, Airless Spray
Colour Availability: Full range of BS 4800, BS 381C & RAL shades except fluorescents and metallics
Pack Size: 4.5 litre composite units
Drying Time @ 20ºC: Drying times will be extended at low temperatures . Do not apply when ambient temperature falls below 10ºC or relative humidity exceeds 90%.
Surface dry @ 20ºC : 15 minutes
Dry to handle@ 20ºC: 2 hours. Full hardness will be achieved after 7 days. Can be force dried @ 120ºC for 10 minutes.
Dry Film Thickness: 15 - 35 μ,
Wet Film Thickness: 35 -80 μ,
Coverage: Approximately 19m² per 1 litre @ 25 μ DFT. Coverage can be affected by such variables as type and condition of substrate, type of application equipment and individual method of application.
Flash Point: 25ºC
VOC Content (as supplied): Max 565g / litre
Storage: Store in temperature range 5-40ºC
Thinners: Firwood 113 Thinners
Pot Life: 12 hours when mixed. The times stated show effective life, however, material stays liquid much longer but does not perform satisfactorily. Do not use after stated times.
Mixing Ratio: Base : Base: Curing Agent Approx. 4.5:1 by volume
Packaging: 4.5 litre composite units (base component - 3.65 ltrs in 5 ltr tin + curing agent - 0.85 ltr in 1 ltr tin)
Mixing: Mix base paint and curing agent thoroughly prior to application and mix only the paint required for immediate use.
Directions for Use: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, millscale, etc.
Use Firwood 176 Chromate Free Etch Primer on non-ferrous metals or Firwood 76 Two Pack Epoxy ZincPhosphate Primer on ferrous metals.
Clean application equipment immediately after use with Firwood 113 Thinners.
