Directions for Use: Apply evenly over the galvanised surface, making sure that the entire area is thoroughly treated. The surface should quickly darken and within minutes and should appear black when fully treated. If bright areas remain, the surface must be contaminated.

Treat such areas by abrading with wet-or-dry paper and a suitable solvent e.g. Firwood 113 Thinners to remove grease or other contaminants as applicable. Re apply more solution to any untreated areas.

When the surface is completely black, wash with fresh water to dilute the acid and allow to dry.

Apply the first coat of paint as soon as possible.

Contains acids, always refer to the material safety data sheet for the product before use and wear the recommended personal protective equipment.

I was recommended to this product by Firwood for the pre treatment of galvanised palisade fencing that I had been asked to paint. It was easy to use, quickly applied and easy to see where I had, and had not applied it. I will definitely be using this again on similar jobs.
