A general purpose, bitumen paint for waterproofing and weather protection. Dries to form an odourless bitumen film. Suitable for application to a wide variety of substrates including steel, iron, lead, zinc, aluminium, concrete, stone, brick and wood.

Coverage: Approximately 20m² per 1 litre @ 25 μ DFT. Coverage can be affected by such variables as type and condition of substrate, type of application equipment and individual method of application.

Drying Time @ 20ºC: Drying times will be extended at low temperatures . Do not apply when ambient temperature falls below 5ºC or relative humidity exceeds 90%.

Surface dry @ 20ºC : 2 hours

Hard Dry@ 20ºC: 5 hours

Over Coat@ 20ºC: After 24 hours

Dry Film Thickness: 20 - 30 μ

Wet Film Thickness: 40 - 60 μ

Coverage: Approximately 20m² per 1 litre @ 25 μ DFT. Coverage can be affected by such variables as type and condition of substrate, type of application equipment and individual method of application.

Flash Point: 38ºC

VOC Content (as supplied): Max 499g / litre

Storage: Store in temperature range 5-40ºC

Thinners: Firwood 114 Thinners



Directions for Use: All surfaces should be clean,dry and free from grease, rust, millscale, etc. Clean by mechanical means or by lightly shot blasting.

Stir well before use.

After cleaning, the surface should be painted within 4 hours.

Apply sufficient coats to give the degree of protection required.


Overcoating: This product is not suitable for over coating with conventional paints unless surface is sealed.

Whilst this coating can be over coated with the same material it is not recommended to overcoat with other types of paints.

Bituminous coatings have a tendency to bleed through to the surface when over coated.

Clean application equipment immediately after use with Firwood 114 Thinners.

Great paint for narrow boat hulls. Recommended to me by our local boatyard and its a cost effective product. Quick and easy to apply after I power washed the hull.
