Micaceous iron oxide (MIO) intermediate or finishing coat for steel work and fabrications offering excellent protection from the elements and a subtle metallic lustre
A high build finish or undercoat containing the non-toxic, excellent film performing properties of micaceous iron oxide. The laminar properties of MIO offers excellent barrier protection to exposed steelwork and has a light sparkle effect that is attractive as a finish. Micaceous iron oxide has a platelet type structure which provides an effective barrier for moisture to permeate through coatings, helps improve the corrosion resistance of the paint system and provides essential protection to steelwork exposed to weathering.
Can withstand temperatures up to 100°C and could therefore be used in a system for medium temperature duties. Ideally it should be used in a full painting sequence with anti-corrosive primers.

MIO colour chart - Thank you.
By Hannah from London on March 10th 2016
Just a quick note to say thank you! The colour chart was in the post indeed and it is exactly what I was looking for.
It is, unfortunately, rare that things happen quickly and without asking several times, so what a pleasant surprise about this very different experience. I will definitely order my MIO from you.
