A protective and decorative paint for high temperature application such as stoves and vehicle exhaust systems. For direct application onto steel surfaces. Will withstand continuous elevated temperatures up to 600°C. Easy to apply with fast drying times.

Can be used as a single or two coat finish on bare ferrous metal surfaces. Regularly used on brand name stoves, gas fires and ovens as well as high performance applications for commercial vehicle and construction equipment exhaust systems.

Application Methods: Spray, Brush and Aerosol

Colour Availability:
Black, Flat Black, Black Metallic, Light Blue Metallic, Blue Metallic, Sage Green, Dark Green, Dark Green Metallic, Charcoal, Light Ivory, Brown Metallic, Bronze Metallic, Burnt Umber Metallic, Terra Cotta, Silver Sand, Pewter, Aluminium, Silver

The colour may vary by aerosol application due to additional floatation of the aluminium.

Pack Size: 5, 20 litres and 6 x 400ml aerosols

Drying Time @ 20ºC: Drying times will be extended at low temperatures . Do not apply when ambient temperature falls below 5ºC or relative humidity exceeds 90%.

Surface dry @ 20ºC : 15 minutes

Hard Dry@ 20ºC: 1 hour

The paint surface if air dried will become fully cured after the painted article has been heated up for the first time. Care must be taken with the paint film until this has occurred.Alternatively the paint may be stoved to fully cure (see below for schedule).

Stoving Schedule 20mins @ 200 - 220ºC

Dry Film Thickness: Black 15 - 25μ, Aluminium 10-20 μ

Wet Film Thickness: Black 50 - 100 μ, Aluminium 45 -90 μ

Coverage: Approximately 15m² per 1 litre @ 25 μ DFT. Coverage can be affected by such variables as type and condition of substrate, type of application equipment and individual method of application.

Flash Point: 25ºC

VOC Content (as supplied): Max 565g / litre

Storage: Store in temperature range 5-40ºC

Thinners: Firwood 113 Thinners



Directions for Use Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, millscale, etc.

For application direct to metal. Do not apply over other paints or coatings

Stir well before use.

The paint film will harden further once the painted article has been heated up for the first time. This should be conducted in a well ventilated room as smoke/fumes may be emiitted during the first heating cycle.

Do not apply excessively heavy film thicknesses of the product as this will lead to stress in the paint film and peeling or flaking of the coating.
