Surface Preparation: Refer to Technical Data Sheet on the downloads section for this product.
Ensure the surface is suitably prepared and free from all dirt, grease and loose material is removed prior to application.
We recommend the use of Firwood 2709 Concrete Etching Fluid when coating concrete floors to remove surface laitance and improve adhesion of the floor paint.
Directions for Use:
Best results are obtained in warm (minimum 15°C), dry conditions with a good through draught.
Stir well before use.
Apply using a brush and/or long pile, double arm roller.
On bare concrete floors it is recommended that the first coat be diluted with approx. 10-20% Firwood 114 thinners by volume prior to application. This will act as a binding primer and help seal the concrete surface. Once dried, a second coat can be applied at full strength.
On previously painted floors it is recommended that two thin coats be applied rather than one thick coat. This will prolong the life and performance of the coating.
For application onto wooden floors, a minimum of two coats is recommended. Chipboard flooring may require three coats due to absorption of the coating into the substrate. Do not flood pour the coating onto the floor.
Cleaning: Application equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with Firwood 114 low odour thinners.
