a brush and/or long pile, double arm roller.
On bare concrete floors: It is recommended that the first coat be diluted with approx. 10-20% Firwood 114 Low odour thinners by volume prior to application. This will act as a binding primer and help seal the concrete surface. Once dried, a second coat can be applied at full strength.
On previously painted floors: It is recommended that two thin coats be applied rather than one thick coat. This will prolong the life and performance of the coating.
Keep coated areas dry for a minimum of 24 hours following application
Foot traffic can be allowed on the coated area after 24 hours and heavier traffic after 72 hours.
Clean application equipment immediately after use with Firwood 114 Thinners
Laitance on concrete - The surface of concrete can have laitance which will flake off with wear. We recommend the use of Firwood 2709 Concrete Etching Fluid to remove surface laitance prior to the use of this floor seal.
